Mercedes-Benz Citan Car Concept is the all-new urban delivery van which has been recently developed by Mercedes-Benz in collaboration with Renault-Nissan. The Citan may join Mercedes other commercial vans, the Sprinter and the Vito, and be the particular smallest of the trio. The name Citan was derived from the terms “City” and “Titan” – apparently in a good effort to help market place the vehicle because both high-tech and rugged. Your Mercedes-Benz Citan was designed to be practical, economic and safe and sound. The choice of drivetrains involves economical and low-emission diesel and gasoline engines – including any BlueEFFICIENCY package. An electric powered version from the Citan is already getting planned.
The interior of the Mercedes Benz Citan has been fitted with more upmarket materials and trim than its competitors. It’s obviously nowhere near as luxurious as your average Mercedes car, but for a perform van it should be fairly nice. The European market place launch of the Mercedes-Benz Citan will take spot in the autumn of 2012. It’s going to be on show to the general public for that first time in September at the IAA Commercial Vehicles present in Hanover. When the idea goes on sale it will always be available as a panel van, crewbus or Mixto in various lengths as well as weight categories.
