Netopee takes its name and its formal basis from the topee – a lightweight helmet-shaped hat. Netopee varies from this kind of traditional hat form, however, by way of its ability being transformed into a functional basket. That is made possible by a wide brim associated with flexible material that has any rubber surface and any reducible edge. When it really is folded up, slits in the brim allow this to expand right into a net. The edge of Netopee is created using a deformable as well as relatively hard material that stretches the rubber and keeps your net in tension. This specific also helps Netopee to keep its shape any time it is used as a hat. Your deformable edge also gets the function of frapping (binding) the placket with the net when the Netopee can be used being a basket.

this doesn't make sense, when folded up to become a basket, the widest part of the rim will not have the same circumference as the area where it meets the wearers head. And if the structure is tough enough to bend into shape, it will be very heavy to wear as a regular hat
