URBAN BEEHIVE Bees Home
URBAN BEEHIVE Bees Home Concept by Philips is a concept for keeping bees at home. The beehive allows a new glimpse into the fascinating world of such industrious creatures as well as the harvesting from the honey they produce. The design of this urban beehive is intentionally unconventional, but it respects the all-natural behaviour of bees. It consists of two parts: the open section with a great entry passage and flowerpot, and the glass vessel containing an array of honeycomb frames. Your glass shell filters light to let through the orange wavelength that bees use pertaining to sight. The frames are provided with a honeycomb texture on which bees can build their wax cells. Smoke might be released into the hive to calm the actual bees before it is opened, in keeping with established practice.
