Honda Chopper was created out of the idea of designing a motorcycle concept in which doesn’t fall into categories of smooth, minimalist, or industrialist. The particular designer decided to go along with his instincts and tried not to be excessively influenced with distinct style, in fact, his / her inspirations came from many resources such as clean lines of medical machines, 70’s and 80’s marker drawings, a bit of manga, a bit of Speeder bike from “Return of the Jedi”.
This particular futuristic bike has become designed as purpose-built chopper with long top suspension, feet forwards seating position plus a large footprint. The actual downward facing handlebars and central front lights (positioned under a scowling forehead) add some attitude. Toyota Chopper is driven by a biofuel engine using 2 small electrical motors built into each and every wheel hub. Toyota, the chosen manufacturer because this vehicle carries a similar aesthetic in order to Honda Asimo robot. In the end, the designer desires the world to catch track of science fiction films and prove that a vehicle that looks futuristic can certainly be built making use of today’s technology.
