Summary:

Peugeot Onyx Scooter
Peugeot Onyx Scooter Concept Design is a three wheels hybrid scooter that combines two different configurations – motorbike and scooter – and a design borrowed from the brand’s cars.

Peugeot Onyx Concept Scooter To recall the Onyx Concept Car, the Onyx Concept Scooter has a matt black paintwork with touches of copper, which also serve to subtly highlight the technology used.
The body has a bold, muscular silhouette with sculptural lines and its stance is enhanced by the extra-large 200/50 R17 rear tire hinting at the spirit of hyper-sport motorbikes.
Its design allows its rider to choose to use it as a motorbike or scooter, offering two configurations that mix driving pleasure and practicality.
In Sport mode, the rider’s position is inclined forwards in a naturally aerodynamic position, with the wrists in contact, and the feet at the rear.

Thierry Sanseigne, Peugeot Scooters Marketing and Style Director, explains:

“The world of the scooter is transforming very rapidly around new expectations, new uses and new customers. Peugeot Scooters is driving this development and blurring the boundaries between motorized two- and four-wheeled vehicles.”

Equipped with a plug-in hybrid engine, this supertrike combines a 400cc internal combustion engine with an electric motor to drive the rear wheel.

Due to its combined power of 45kW, it has a top speed of 150km/h (93.2mph) and an output of 58Nm, which allows to achieve exceptional acceleration.
During deceleration, it recovers energy which is stored in the lithium-ion batteries and delivered during acceleration.

Consuming only 2 L/100 km (117.6mpg), it has a range of 30km (18.6miles) at 50km/h (31mph) in ZEV mode, but can cover a combined range of up to 500km (310miles).
